1910 King Edward VII silver coin

1910 King Edward VII silver coin
King Edward vii coin

A one rupee silver coin of 1908 of King Edward VII series ,attractive feature of the coin is that, in maximum silver coins the engraving is in both English and Persian, evaluated to Victoria coins that showed only English. On one side "ONE RUPEE INDIA" is written along with the image of the crown and something in Persian and on the other side there is a image of the emperor king Edward VII without the crown cladding right and  the reason behind these for not wearing the crown is that though Queen Victoria died on 22nd January 1901, Edward's coronation was not done till 9 August 1902. The master dies were invented before the coronation, so it was not possible to display him wearing the crown. To correct this, a pattern rupee was destined in 1910. It has not been minted for public use as king Edward died in the same year.

Victoria Queen One Mohur 1862

1862 One Mohur
Initial gold coinage with Queen Victoria's crowned kaput consisted of one mohur coins dated 1862. These coins were of the similar weight (11.66 grams = 1 Tola) and delicacy (0.9167) as the EIC issued mohurs. A number of categories (including proofs) are known with minor variations in the reverse and obverse beatification details. These coins, most likely minted between 1866 to 1869, were trade coinage and not renowned as legal tender.

In 1876, Victoria implicit the title of 'Empress of India' and, from 1877, the legend on the anterior of all coins was changed to 'Victoria Empress'. Gold mohurs with the fresh obverse legend were issued in the middle of 1877 and 1891. The mintage of these mohurs is comparatively low, making them considerably scarce. Minuscule values of the mohur (nominally valued at 15 silver rupees) were also struck in denominations of 10 and 5 rupees between 1870 and 1879. Except for a tiny number of 10 and 5 rupees dated 1870, most of the insignificant mohurs were proof issues.
