In
1968 a Twenty paisa brass coin was minted by india .In those days Aluminium
series coins were in demand as this brass coin was very distinctive in those
times. The coin possess a lotus on one side with the denomination and the year engraved
on one side . The Twenty-paisa coins, have the picture of lotus imprinted
on it and so they are fixed at the doorway of buildings and prayer
rooms in those days .They also possessed ornamental value as ankle chains
and replica jewellery were made out of the coins. On the reverse side the
National Embelem " The Ashoka Sthambha" is engraved without the
slogan "Satyamev Jayte". The Twenty paisa brass coin was removed from
distribution because it is melted down in large numbers because of its high
metal value. So the value of these coins are very high provided original
because many fake coins are in the market with the perfection image.
